We're pretty easy going here, but there are quite a few players on this server, and the rules are in place to not only give everyone a nice place to play, but also keep the map intact. No one wants to play on a world that looks like swiss cheese.
Major Don'ts
Your First Time
The first time you log onto the server, you'll spawn here! You obviously won't be as cute as me, but you'll still end up in this lovely little gazebo. This is 0,0 and it's the main spawn area. Essentially it's a hub, and the place you'll come most when getting around the map.
Setting out into an already developed world with little protection can be quite intimidating, so the good folks of Hangouts are offering you a Starter Kit so you don't have to run off all naked and afraid.
These kits are located to the South East of where you spawn.
The Mail Room is located to the East, up the stairs and to the right of The End Portal. There's lots of signs, so it shouldn't be too hard to find. There's a sign in the chest, claim a box so if trades are initiated or you owe someone a debt, you can easily say "I'll put it in your mail box."
Travel
Getting around is made simple here using Teleportation.
TP. That's right, TELEPORTATION. You go down these steps, or any of the other 4 steps that have this sign on them, and you'll be underneath where you've spawned. Down there you'll find...
A bunch of areas that look like this! Mining Teleports! Here you'll find access to all the biomes and areas where you can freely harvest and mine! Just step onto the emerald and you'll be transported there!
Step on that emerald and you go to the mesa, step on that other one you go to ice spikes, etc. Pretty easy, and pretty awesome.
You want to harvest resources? Take any of these Mining Teleports.
WARNING: These areas are considered "Wilds" and have the potential to be reset! Build here with caution!
You go through any of these teleports and you'll be standing on a platform like this, particularly on a square of red concrete. You want to go back to spawn? Step on that square of lime green concrete.
You want to find a place to settle down? Well, that's easy too! These convenient teleports will take you well away from the spawn area where you can begin to settle down. Just step on the Glowstone! The main Nether is also functioning as it would in Vanilla, and it's possible to use it for travel if you'd prefer it that way. Rules regarding Nether Portal setup and travel can be found, once again, HERE.

THE NETHER
This portal takes you to the Main Nether. A portal to the Mining Area Nether can be found through the General Mining Area teleport.
A Nether Hub is currently under construction, headed by IryshWhiskey. It functions exactly like it would in Vanilla, and is intended for travel and transport, not resource gathering.
THE END
Currently home to a lovely Enderman Grinder named Steve's Big End. This is the only public farm we're allowing this season, so feel free to use it.
We ask that you leave the closest End Cities intact for everyone to enjoy, and travel to outer islands in pursuit of resources.

Major Don'ts
- DON'T mine (strip, resource, bulk harvest, etc) anything within 10,240 blocks of spawn. Don't. Do. It.
- DON'T grief or break anything that doesn't belong to you.
- DON'T steal. There are no chest mods or anything here, we trust each other not to steal.
- DON'T raid structures (dungeons, villages, etc.) in the "Main Area" unless you intend to use them or they are in the way of your build. The Main Area is within 10,240 blocks of spawn! Use the mining teleports to ensure raiding and gathering safety!
- NO Nether Portals within 500 blocks of spawn.
- NO Redstone/entity heavy builds within 500 blocks of spawn.
- NO public farms or resource grinders. Build them, sure, but we ask you do not open them to the public. Instead we encourage you to trade with other players or open a shop in the Shopping District to sell your excess resources.
