Hey Everybody, following up on TBM's announcement about our new ability to move locked maps between worlds here is some more information about how this changes things on the server and what we're going to be able to do. If you're interested in the process itself you can read my post about it here.
Here's a list of new features or services related to maps that we are going to offer in our worlds.
We've decided the copyright of the art itself is owned by the artist. Which means it's the artist who owns the data file of the map. And as a result it's the artist that can request either a copy of the map file for themselves or have it moved between worlds. If you've made a map at some point in the past or plan to make one in the future you'll be able to request any of the above.
I will be managing the process and keeping a spreadsheet of the maps and which worlds they are on. If you wish to move a map you can PM me on the forums to start the process. You need to ensure the map is locked. You will need to provide me the map number and what world it is on. I will assign a new map number and deposit the map at an agreed upon location. I should be able to process requests within a week.

- We're going to be able to transfer maps between any of the current worlds.
- Map arts or signs can now be commissioned in one world, built in another and then transferred. Details about payment etc can be arranged between the artist and patron.
- Older map arts or signs from previous seasons can be resurrected to be used again in any of the worlds. The exception to this being season 4, since we do not have a backup of this world. TBM does have the patterns for all work she created in season 4 so they could be re-created.
