So having tried various build styles over the months, I never really found anything I was happy with. I had a grand plan for my underground base in terms of what I wanted in it, and what I wanted it to do, but the cosmetics were a challenge.

I finally found something I liked, and with that I decided to take a completely fresh look at the 'hole' thing, starting as I always do, with the storage room, right down at bedrock.

And the backend, still waiting for the redstone part (for once I did cosmetics first)...

Loads more to come, will update as I build.

Well done. I love the organic approach. I wish I could do that. Somehow I tend to aim at symmetry everytime. I bet there is a pattern in that seeming irregularity of your storage

Thanks Ori! The room itself is definitely following a pattern, you can see it a bit more clearly the last screenshot, that's one quarter of the room. The ceiling and floor though were just me running around clicking!

Thanks! Yeah, it's red clay, I'm not keen on the default wool texture so I tend not to use it at all.

Looks great, Steve. When you can never have enough items or chests, it's good when the collection of said items and chests looks this good.

That's so unusual, Steve, its really different to the usual Stone-and-Stuff building you see in Minecraft (of which I'm as guilty as anyone)

The softer natural look is so nice. I'm mad jealous!

Nice! Happy and green and cozy. Good texture pack too. I'll have to rethink my ideas about underground bases.
